As part of our climate communication and action workshops, we held two sessions aimed at different age groups in the Nueva Jerusalén neighborhood. With the support of Dear Tomorrow and in collaboration with Fundación Conciencia, the first workshop, aimed at children aged 5 to 7, sought to provide basic knowledge about climate change and solutions to address it in creative, innovative, and applicable ways in various settings. This workshop revolved around the question: How can we raise awareness among children about climate change to mobilize individual and collective action?
In the second phase, we conducted a workshop for children aged 8 to 11, focused on generating basic knowledge about adaptation and resilience to climate change. The climate action workshops were carried out with two different age groups. For the 5- to 7-year-olds, the workshop was centered around the question: How can we empower children and adolescents to take climate action in the environments they live in? Meanwhile, the workshop for children aged 8 to 11 was guided by the question: How can we empower children and adolescents to participate in climate action from the places they inhabit?
